Saturday, December 15th, Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi, from 3.00 pm, Wolf Family, excursion and wolf howling for families and children!
Programma
The Wolf (Canis lupus italicus) is now a consolidated presence in the National Park of the Casentinesi Forests, Monte Falterona and Campigna ... and not only. There are about 15 groups (more or less numerous) that frequent the protected area to bypass between Romagna and Tuscany. A rather elusive animal, with a little 'luck you can see it even during the day while crossing a meadow or furrows a ridge in search of its prey elective: the ungulates.
One of the most effective methods for contacting wolves is wolf-howling, a monitoring technique that we will learn to know and that will be applied in the evening, to try to hear the howl of the group's response on the territory.
The National Park of Casentino Forests has specially formed a group of Guides, enabled to issue wolf-howling and available to accompany groups of people interested in deepening their knowledge on this formidable predator.
An exciting experience, which you will certainly never forget!
The activity was specifically designed to involve families with children (aged 7-10 years): while the parents will go to "Lupo school" with Riccardo Raggi (Environmental Travel Guide, graduated in Faunistic Sciences) the children, under the careful eye of other collaborators of Romagna trekking, they will play and they will learn something more on the fascinating and mysterious world of the Wolf.
