Programma
It is in part a conference and in part a music tribute, the 2° Dylan Day will be on Tuesday 23 May, the day right before the 78th birthday of Bob Dylan, and will offer events of international reputation. The American songwriter, despite his age, continues to make records and going unstoppably in tour since the end of the 80s. In this edition we will discuss in particular about the connections between Dylan and the Blues, but not only. There will be, of course, a lot of music and surprises.
The event starts at 9.00 PM with the conference of the professor Alessandro Carrera (University of Houston), one of the current main experts in the world about Bob Dylan, author of various essays about the musician, beside being also a translator of his verses and poems for Feltrinelli. The conference is taking place at Petit Arquebuse (corso Garibaldi, 52).
At 10.00 PM, Blind Boy Gunn and many guests are on stage at Petit Arquebuse, introduced by the professor Carrera. At the same place there is going to be a debate about “The ghosts of Bob”, to which the participants of the event are asked to take part.
In the end, at 11.30 PM, we move at Moquette (via Dall'Aste, 17), for other music with DJ-set and a photographic exhibition titled “The faces of Bob Dylan”, that will be set up in the previous days.
The event is sponsored by the Municipality of Forlì and the University of Bologna.
