Return to Cusercoli, Sunday 10 and Sunday 17 November 2019, the festival dedicated to the prestigious white truffle of the Bidente Valley with gastronomic stands and Romagna orchestras.
Programma
The protagonist of the festival that takes place the second and third Sunday of November is undoubtedly the "prized white truffle" of the Valle del Bidente, which in this month touches its qualitative apex.
Thousands of gourmets and tourists come together to celebrate the well-known and precious underground mushroom. In the two weekends, the medieval town is invaded by stalls of truffle hunters exposing their "earth diamonds".
The program includes the exposition of the typical farm products, local artisan artworks linked to the ancient uses of Bidente Valley and conventions, screenings and music shows. The topical moment of the event is the price for the exhibitors and the truffle hunter capable to find the biggest and most flavoured truffle.
The best way to eat it is cutting it with a special device, just right before its consumption. The best matches are: with fried eggs, on pasta or ravioli with butter and cheese, on risotto, on croutons, on veal chop, on ox fillet, on pheasant chest cooked in whine sauce. Especially tasty on tagliatelle nests or in the fillings or sauces.
At Cusercoli's festival, you can taste truffle also with “raveggiolo” (soft cheese ripened in fern leaves), to fill the “piada alla lastra”.
