Nine days of tastings, shows, flea markets and reflections on food at the 22th edition of Artusi Festival, scheduled from 23 June to 1 July 2018.
Programma
The Festa Artusiana transforms the Town of Forlimpopoli in the capital of “eating well” to pay tribute to its most famous fellow citizen and undisputed father of Italian modern cookery, the gourmet Pellegrino Artusi.
An irresistible mix of sounds, smells and flavours permeates the centre of the Artusi’s town, which becomes the setting for an unprecedented dialogue among gastronomy,culture and entertainment during nine nights.
The common theme is home cooking and the over 700 recipes contained in the well-known Artusi’s manual “Science in the Kitchen and the Art of Eating Well” that will be proposed by a number of restaurants and tasting kiosks along the streets, squares and alleys of Forlimpopoli, which for this special occasion are given the names of the book chapters. The language of the Festival dips into the words, stories and images of Italy that was indeed unified by the manual, with respect to identity, culture, gastronomy and language.
Reaching this year its 22st edition, the Festa Artusiana intertwines appetizing food and a rich programme of shows, concerts, entertainment, exhibitions and cultural events that stimulate the palate and delight the mind. The event is organised in collaboration with Casa Artusi, the first gastronomic culture centre in Italy dedicated to home cooking, which will be the beating heart of it, as well as the ideal venue for meetings, debates and conferences and, as the tradition goes, for the awarding of the “Artusi prize” and the “Marietta ad Honorem prizes” to highly distinguished people.

The Artusi Festival takes place through the streets of the old town of Forlimpopoli, around the fortress. You can park near the center and then continue on foot.
