It was built up in 1720. It was one of the most imposing churches in Forlì. Nowadays it is deconsecrated.
On the right side of the church there are the ruins of the Dominican monastery. The XVI century cloister is still visible. The restoring of the monastery has just started and at the end of the works the Dominican monastery will be the main exhibition centre in Forlì.
The Monumental Complex of San Domenico including the Palazzo Pasquali, the Church of San Giacomo Apostolo, the Convent of the Dominicans, the Convent of the Augustinians and the Hall of Santa Caterina represents the central core of the future museum system. From the architectural and functional point of view the project of San Domenico involves the restoration of the former church as concert hall and exhibition space, and the refurbishment of the convent building to accommodate the Art Gallery and Museums. The whole project extends over a wide area: while the church covers a surface of more than 1,400 square metres, the total gross surface area of the convent floors is spread over 5,900 square metres. Restoring works ended in may 2015; now the complex is a concert hall.

It is located in Piazza Guido da Montefeltro, near the historical centre. It is reachable by car.
