Further information
During the moyen-age a Forlì defensive area was located
in the zone where the fortress would be built up in XV century. In
origin there was a little structure called Bonzanino; it was just
only a "rivellino", replaced between 1360 and 1371 from a first
Rocca Ravaldino. A century later, in 1471, Pino III Ordelaffi made
design architect Giorgio Marchesi Fiorentino fortifications still
exist.
News
Nowadays the fortress is being arranged and re-emphasised. It
is used as an exhibition centre and concert hall. In Piazzale Porta
Ravaldino, at the end of Corso Diaz, it is one of the accesses to
Ravaldino channel, that during the moyen-age used to cross the city
open-pit, while nowadays it's almost entirelly covered.
