Palazzo della Caserma dei Carabinieri

The building was designed by Giulio Zambianchi and built over the period 1868-1873. Originally it was the Monastery of Calced Carmelites. After religious orders were suppressed, the new Government of United Italy called for it to be transformed: the project to convert it into a shelter for poor people failed and it housed the headquarters of the Carabinieri Royal Force.
