How to get there

The museum is located inside the former 'Madonna del Sasso' church, in the historical city center. From Piazza Orsini, follow via Roma, then turn left in via della Rocca.

Analytical text

The Church dates back to 1523 and it was deconsecrated a long time ago. Its architecture is uncommon: it has a façade without tympanum and an elegant overhanging frame. It has been recently restored and hosts today the Ecology Museum and the Visitors' Centre for Scardavilla Natural Reserve. You can visit the Reserve following a well-equipped naturalistic itinerary (there are noticeboards and schedules). By a permission given by the Municipality, visitors can have autonomous walks, following an easy ring route. For bigger groups and schools, qualified staff is available for guided tours.

Week timetable opening

Tuesday and Saturday: from 9 am to 1 pm; Thursday: from 2 pm to 6 pm; Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (by appointment only) from 9 am to 1 pm.



July and August open only tuesday and saturday morning.
