Accessibility

On the county road that leads southwards from Tredozio to Tramazzo mountain, you can park your car at 8 km and proceed towards the crest in a half an hour walk. You can also reach the place by car, through the white road that goes southwards from Lutirano, 6 km from Tredozio. In Ponte della Valle the gravel road ends to proceed on an interfarms road that leads to Trebbana and Gamogna.

Along with the Monastery of Gamogna, the compound has always been a part of the so called Piviere of San Valentino, that is to say that it used to be under the jurisdiction of the ancient pieve that used to group up to 21 parish churches that have been centres of social and religious life of Tredozio and Modigliana valleys since the first millennium. The church of Trebbana is devoted to San Michele, and it has a broad pastor's house annexed. Its establishment goes back to 1063, when the church was donated to San Pier Damiani for Gamugno's hermits.
In its immediate proximity, there is a secular oak tree (which trunk circumference is 4, 75 m), recorded also in the land registers and military terrain maps.

Today Trebbana has become completely usable again, renovated and equipped for excursions and rest stop.
In a really peaceful mood and in a natural and striking context, the retreat works as a hospitality centre with overnight accommodation and the use of a kitchen that can house up till 50 people.
