From Saturday 6 July 2019, the new edition of Emilia Romagna Festival returns; the inauguration is scheduled in Forlì with a show by Uto Ughi and Seongnam Philarmonic Orchestra, directed by Nanse Gum.
Programma
Great artists of the international music and promising youths are called to perform, by mixing the sound of the instruments with the many tones of the voices, from the opera singing to the lectures by the authors.
"Smash the tube – enjoy the music!" is the title of the new season of Emilia Romagna Festival 2019, that returns with 41 dates, from the 6th of July to the 7th of September, set between the marvelous architectures and landscapes of the region. Great masters, multimedia and new interpretations: the new claim is a metaphorical invitation to break the screen, the socials and TV, to discover the assorted world of music outside the streaming services, between classic, jazz and world music.
The Festival, this year distributed in 5 provinces – Bologna, Modena, Ferrara, Ravenna, Forlì-Cesena – will alternate great artists of the international music with promising youths, massive symphonic orchestras with prestigious chamber music groups, first performances by contemporary artists with elaborated works from the classic and jazz repertory.
The season inaugurates in Forlì at Church of San Giacomo in San Domenico, with the return of Uto Ughi, artist in ERF residence in the season 2018/19, who will perform together with the South Korean Seongnam Philharmonic Orchestra and its director Nanse Gum, playing Tchajkovskij, Mendelssohn and a first Italian exhibition of a composition by the Korean musician Hojun Lee. The ending concert is dedicated to Grande Lirica in the beautiful scenario of Villa La Babina in Sasso Morelli, with two international stars of the good singing, the soprano Cinzia Forte and the baritone Giovanni Meoni, accompanied by Marco Scolastra at piano.
