Analytical text

The house where the priest-patriot Don Giovanni Verità lived became Museo Cittadino after the commemorative exhibition dedicated to Silvestro Lega had been organized there in 1926. It is a typical XIX century bourgeois building. The facade is made of stone; the banister of the little external staircase is a faithful copy of the original. The museum was first projected as a collection of antiques and relics from the Risorgimento; now it includes an archaeological section, a collection of Silvestro Lega's paintings and a section dedicated to the Second World War and to the Resistance.
