From September 21 to January 6, the Civic Museum of San Domenico welcomes the "Food" exhibition by the American photographer Steve McCurry: an unpublished exhibition worldwide with images for a very large part never exhibited and printed before.

The exhibition, produced by Civitas srl, with the support of the Municipality of Forlì and the Cassa dei Risparmi Foundation of Forlì, is part of the "Good Living Exhibitions" chapter of the homonymous territorial marketing project.


The scenic project of the exhibition, conceived by Peter Bottazzi, is developed in five sections that follow the life cycle of the food. The photographs, taken by McCurry between Latin America, Asia and Europe during his over thirty year career, are accompanied by scenic structures and videos that make the visit an immersive experience from a physical and emotional point of view.

After the first section that introduces the life cycle of food, the second shows bread as a primary food, a universal language. The third section is dedicated to the production of food and therefore to work in the fields, plantations and at sea. The fourth is focused on the transformation of food, while the fifth is dedicated to the cohesion that this generates, to being together in consuming it, in feeding itself, in not wasting it, the food brought back to its central value of life.

Every Thursday at 4.30pm and Saturdays at 3.30pm guided tours with fixed departure for single visitors and small groups without reservation.
Meeting at least 20 minutes before the guided tour at the ticket office of the exhibition. Cost of the visit: € 5 (plus the ticket price)

Reduced - € 10.00 for groups over 15 units (max 25), children under 18 and over 65, holders of special agreements, university students with card

Integrated ticket € 14.00 (reduced € 12) valid for the exhibition and the museums of the city (Pinacoteca civica and Palazzo Romagnoli)

Free for children up to 6 years, a guide for each group, disabled with a guide, two guides for school groups, journalists with a card, tourist guides with a card.
